Under construction!

First glimpse!

Rod from Cargill Enterprises is constructing the first Lilliput Libraries. I called in last week and he had two prototypes to show me so I took them home, popped some of our Lilliput books into them, and then went back and gave Rod the ‘go ahead.’

Testing the prototype out for size. Shelf, doors and artwork will adorn the ‘real’ Lilliputs.

Sheryl McCammon has participated in all the Poems in the Waiting Room exhibitions and as she’s also a neighbour I wandered up the street for a visit. I came away beaming – Sheryl has offered to paint a Lilliput Library for a non-artistic guardian – me!  Murray and Jan, our very next door neighbours, have offered to have ‘my’ Lilliput Library on their property as our boundary hedge is not “Lilliput friendly”.

The team at Bunnings are constructing their prototype Lilliput Library – when I get to see it I’ll snap some photos and share them with you.
